Introducing my second home (& 3rd language)

Within a week or arriving in my new home I quickly learned that there were multiple words for saying the same thing. At home I was spoken to in English, in the Hundeschule (dog training)  I had to respond to German and then on my first road trip I was introduced to Dutch!

3 lanuages and I was not yet 6 months old! Hows that for being a clever pup 😀 Of course I am naturally selective to which language I respond to, and it is amusing watching my humans try all 3 to see which one I will decide to respond to.  However back to my 1st road trip.

This brings me nicely to introducing my second home in the Netherlands. I was only 4 months old when I was bundled into the car and driven to Amsterdam to meet Oma and Opa. Very quickly I made myself at home in the garden and I was keen to make sure the plants were well protected.

Amsterdam has some lovely walks on offer, my  morning walk along the canals is always relaxing especially when Opa walks with me! But my favourite has to be a trip to the beach.

At Castricum-am-See, dogs are welcome off lead on the beach from October to April.  How much fun – digging, playing and getting in the most mess possible.
