Since moving to Berlin I have discovered that it is not only just people, traffic and trams, but Berlin has also many forests, parks and lakes. A 10 min u-bahn trip away from my home and I can run for hours in a beautiful forest<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In Berlin north, surrounding Tegel Airport runway is Jungfernheide Forest, an area where I can officially run off lead! I\u00a0 am very lucky as are there are a number of designated areas, known as ‘Hundeauslaufgebeit’ where we can run free.<\/p>\n

I get there by travelling on the U6 to Otisstra\u00dfe<\/strong>. After exiting the station, I turn left and after a short walk along Otisstra\u00dfe, I arrive at the forest entrance. Unfortunately, I need to stay on the lead for the first part which is such a shame. The path takes me past the Flughafensee, which always looks so inviting to jump into, but unfortunately as a designated bathing lake us furry friends are not officially allowed to swim there.<\/p>\n

As I wander along the lake, past the bathing beaches, there is always Berlin artwork to be found, no matter how remote!<\/p>\n
