Paradise part 2 – Exploring Glowe

After all the excitement of the first few days wandering along coastal paths, it was time to get down to the serious stuff – digging and swimming ….

We were halfway through the holiday and after some much deserved rest I was ready to go again.

Next to our apartment was a map, luckily my humans looked at this and my next adventure was about to start!

I decided we needed to follow the blue line, so I dragged my humans towards the Großer Jasmunder Bodden. Bodden means lagoon in German and when we got there I just wanted to jump in and take a swim. Unfortunately my humans made me walk along the footpath instead, so I just had to enjoy the long grass. Oh how happy this makes me feel.

A small channel in the north links the Großer Jasmunder Bodden to the Baltic Sea, so the water is brackish. This mix of fresh and saltwater is just perfect for swimming – if my humans will ever let me. A dog can dream!

Eventually we reached the woods, which was a relief as it was so hot, and then I saw a beach. I just couldn’t resist diving in to cool down, after all it was above 25 degrees that day!

Another perfect day for my little paws and just as I thought life could not get any better my humans took me to the beach on the final day. The weather was cooler so I could just happily dig and dig and dig …

I never did find what was under all that sand!

Glowe really is a dogs paradise. I will be back!

(Note from Mrs Human – guess who’s going in the shower later!)
